In the 2000,after making her war film "Refugee" kapoor installed herself in Indian cinema with roles in the darama "Asoka" and the melodarama "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham" in 2001 (both).This starting success was down by a series of failures and repetive jobs,which got negative reviews.The year 2004 was turning point for kapoor when she was got role against sex in the theater of "Chameli".
